Missions
2nd Quarter Mission Projects
The second quarter mission projects are FINCA International and The Lodge of the Rocky Mountain Health Care Services.
The mission of FINCA International is to provide financial services to the world’s lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living.
The vision of FINCA International is to be a global microfinance network collectively serving poor entrepreneurs while operating on commercial principles of performance and sustainability.
The scope of global poverty compels us all to do more. That is why FINCA launched the Village Banking Campaign. It will enable FINCA to double its impact: to use the power of microfinance to extend loans, microinsurance, and savings to one million poor families by 2010 so they can effect their own development.
The Lodge is only one part of the Brain Injury Program of Rocky Mountain Health Care Services. And as its name implies, The Lodge provides programming and treatment for individuals who have suffered some type of traumatic brain injury.
Lodge census currently includes seven victims of assault, seven car accident victims, three gunshot wounds (two of those self-inflicted, the other a drive by gang shooting in Denver,) and one apiece of motorcycle accident, heart attack, stroke, drug overdose, diabetic coma, a fall, and a viral infection. Quite the diverse pathologies with every injury and quite the challenge for Lodge staff to implement appropriate programming and treatment for each one.
The Brain Injury Program of Rocky Mountain Health Care Services works every day to help its clients achieve maximum level of independence.
The Lodge consists of a group of very special people; dedicated and caring to serve a very unique and special clientele that most of our society doesn’t think about much every day.
Individuals who struggle to recover from this most damaging of injuries had their lives torn from them in a single day, and can face years of reconstructive therapy and treatment. Our program provides the programming, counseling, activities, understanding, and tender loving care these clients need.
